A Heart To Serve!

Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved serving and helping others.  I remember as a child going to visit the sick and shut-in with my grandmother and having empathy for those less fortunate. I’ve always had a deep love for people.  I truly care about each person that I come in contact with.  I sometimes wish I could sit down and have a conversation with each person.  I’d love to find out who they are, where they come from, help them however I can and let them know that they matter.    Life, responsibilities, lack, not knowing what to do and even fear, can sometimes keep us all from doing the things that really matter most.
As another year goes by and I get closer to realizing many dreams I’ve had for a very long time, I feel deeply moved to step up serving and helping others even more.
One way I serve is through the Hugs & Hope Food Pantry.  I’m not always able to make it to help prepare or serve the food on Tuesdays, but the food pantry is always in my heart.  I’m constantly looking for ways to bring awareness to people in need of food and to those looking for ways to serve.
This year, in honor of my 56th birthday, instead of just celebrating me, I want to celebrate others and bring awareness to the Hugs & Hope Food Pantry.  Keep Reading to find out what I’m up to!
If you are in need of food, Hugs & Hope Food Pantry is open every Tuesday from 4:30pm-6:30pm.  If you’d like to volunteer, volunteers are welcome every Tuesday from 10AM to 7PM.  You do not have to be there from 10-7, just come whenever you’re available.  There’s always something to do. The pantry is located at Park Place Church, 4576 Lenora Church Rd., Snellville, GA.
